MCML Receives the Governor General's History Award for Excellence in Museums

The Governor General's History Awards was created in 1996 to honour excellence in educational and public programming about our history and heritage. It celebrates the achievements of history teachers, scholars, authors, community groups and museums who share a passion in history.

The laureates await to receive their awards presented by Governor General of Canada, Mary Simon in Rideau Hall.

Margaret was the project coordinator for the mámawihitowin Ganaagishkwadaadiwin Asenbli Rencontre Gathering Exhibit.

Eric is the curator of Seven Oaks Museum and Ross House Museum. He took part in researching and bringing together the pieces for the mámawihitowin Ganaagishkwadaadiwin Asenbli Rencontre Gathering Exhibit.
