In 2018, of the North-Birmingham area Handsworth, a Mural was unveiled and dedicated to legendary roots reggae band ‘Steel Pulse’ (‘Steel’ represented being strong and ‘Pulse’, a heart pulse heartbeat)

Since being formed in 1975 at Handsworth Wood Boys School, Steel Pulse have released a number of albums; including; Babylon the Bandit which won the Best Reggae Album at The Grammy Awards in 1987

The unveiled Mural is a recreation of the sleeve to the Steel Pulse album Handsworth Revolution which was released in 1978 and coincided with National Album Day
