Villa Terrace

Villa Terrace was built in 1924 for the Lloyd R. Smith family - an Italian Renaissance-style home on a bluff above Lake Michigan. Since 1966 the house and grounds have housed the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum.

Bradford Beach

Covering 138.1-acre (559,000 m2) on the shore of Lake Michigan, Lake Park is part of a mostly contiguous stretch of lakefront amenities that extend north from Milwaukee's downtown, including Bradford Beach, various parks, McKinley Marina, and the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Basilica of St. Josaphat

In its grandeur and opulence it is an excellent example of the so-called Polish Cathedral style of church architecture found in the Great Lakes region of North America.

Modeled after St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, it features one of the largest copper domes in the world. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a designated Milwaukee Landmark.

Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory (AKA the Domes)

The Domes are owned and operated by the Milwaukee County Park System, and replaced the original Milwaukee Conservatory which stood from 1898 to 1955. The three domes display a large variety of plant life.

Seven Bridges Trail in Grant Park

Along the shore of Lake Michigan, this park in South Milwaukee boasts sanded beaches, miles of wooded trails, sport courts, and a golf course.

Tripoli Shrine Center

The building's design incorporates Moorish and Indian elements, somewhat resembling the Taj Mahal in India, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Tripoli Temple. It is not a religious building.

The Milwaukee Art Museum

The Milwaukee Art Museum houses a rich collection of over 30,000 works, with strengths in 19th- and 20th-century American and European art, contemporary art, American decorative arts, and is the world’s leading repository for work by untrained creators.

Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church

Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, United States, was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1956, and completed in 1961. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The church is one of Wright's last works; construction was completed after his death. The design is informed by traditional Byzantine architectural forms, reinterpreted by Wright to suit the modern context.

The Mackie Building

Built in 1879, the Mackie Building, sometimes called the Chamber of Commerce building, is an ornate Italian-style building designed by E. Townsend Mix and built by Alexander Mitchell. It originally housed the trading floor for the wheat market, which was, for a short period of time, the world’s largest wheat market for trading, exporting and inspecting grain.
