Zerrklebt (2019) by Alan MaagBoreal Projects

Zerrklebt, Alan Maag.

For the fourth edition of Hybrid Art Fair, five artists were chosen whose submissions suited the idea of exhibiting in an alternative space such as a hotel bedroom.

The five chosen submissions deal with the idea of "no space" or "transition space": places where people do not stay long, but where they hopefully feel at home.

The idea was to create a sublime sensation for the visitor; a moment of peace, grandeur, and wellbeing. These concepts are all necessary in the best hotel rooms.

The Queen of her World, Rocco A. De Filippo.

Playing with the peculiarity of the fair held in a hotel. The fair is held in a hotel.
In most hotel bedrooms, in the past, and even today, there will be a Bible or some religious symbolism hanging on the wall. Two artists decided to make glass objects (like churches) to create a sanctuary within the room, like some religious people have in their homes.
