Clock and Watch Museum

At the Clock and Watch Museum visitors can see time measurement principles and the evolution of clock construction from early times to today. Visitors can learn about calendars, early sundials, water, fire, sand, mechanical and other types of clocks.  The change in mechanical clock shapes and designs is revealed (16th–20th century) as well. The exposition presents famous pieces by European and Lithuanian clock-making masters such as Theodor Tarasowig, Abraham Louis Breguet, Theodore Perret and others. It contains more than 400 original and rare clocks and reconstructions, and the exhibition also features furniture, interior details and engravings from the same periods.
