Crist Espiritu

“Through my art I aim to instill a culture of critical thinking in my audience. I want them to question what they are seeing; to doubt the (mostly malicious) truth they are presented with. I believe that doubt is good for it is humble."

Crist Espiritu's work often features disembodied animals and organs - eyes, mouths, hearts, etc. - alongside 3D geometric figures. He and his girlfriend Angge Lorente also work together under the name GlitchGlitch.

"There is too much vanity and so little critical thinking these days. We are constantly exposed to products created by self-absorbed entities which promote short sighted narcissistic views. Because of this, we tend to become lenient automatons. My art promotes the exact opposite of that arrogant complacency.”
