Distrito Tec
The Public Art Program (PAP) is an initiative of DistritoTec (a project led by the Tecnológico de Monterrey University - the largest University in Mexico) that aims to create bonds within the community through artistic experiences in public spaces across the city of Monterrey, located in the north of Mexico. This project has impacted the lives of approximately 20,000 people living in the DistritoTec area.
Seth and his image of innocence
During the course of his artistic explorations, Seth developed a distinct painting style, working often with childhood theme. By using the wall as a blank canvas, Seth relies on the individual or collective imagination, such as local gods, myths, or tales. The child is a spokesperson of his artistic journey.

He creates an image of innocence and places his character in complex social, political and geographical contexts. Its dual meaning isn't cynical, rather it engages the viewer in regards to the state of the world and offers a simple solution.

The mural
A little boy has broken a wall and created a passage, leaving behind a pile of colorful books. The boy faces away from the viewer, his attention completely focused on the bright blue sky. The feeling evoked by the mural is of hope for a better future.
