Rio de Janeiro
The love of Ziraldo for Rio is sublime. This giant artist from the state of Minas Gerais has defined Rio de Janeiro as his home, his eternal source of inspiration - "the most beautiful city in the world." Ziraldo is just love with the wonderful city; he has the purest fascination and he is always drawing what is difficult to represent or to recognise but is the universal and incontestable truth of the Rio culture - the natural beauty, the urban contrasts, the joy and the embrace of the population. And speaking about embracing, there is no better way to start this exhibit than with the greatest symbol of the host of Rio de Janeiro, our Christ the Redeemer.
