Château du Moulin
It was in 1901 that Marcel Compaignon de Marchéville bought the château du Moulin from Edmond Chenu de Thuet after the death of its inhabitant, his sister Edwige. That same year, the restoration works began.
After the death of his son, Marcel Compaignon de Marchéville, in 1904, Louis Compaignon de Marchéville continued with the works with an air of modernity and research, assisted by two architects; Charles Genuys, lead architect on historic monuments, and Pierre Chauvallon.
Three generations on the castle's bridge. Marthe Compaignon de Marchéville, wife of Louis Compaignon de Marchéville is accompanied by Madame Bidoire, her mother, by Louise Compaignon de Marchéville, her mother-in-law, and by her daughter Solange Compaignon de Marchéville, born in May 1904, who is being held in the arms of her nanny.

The clock tower had not yet been rebuilt. Based on the depiction of the castle in the large mural in the church of Saint Denis of Lassay-sur-Croisne (built at the same time as the castle), the bell tower was rebuilt during the restoration.
The Château du Moulin, 1901. The East tower and the tower named the "dovecot", which, along with the gatehouse towers are the only remaining towers from the 15th century fortifications.
Before the works, the inner courtyard was overrun by trees and plants.
