🎹 Bio
The present name was first used in 1934, but the orchestra history started back in 1882. In the present legal form, Pilsen Philharmonic was founded by the city of Pilsen in 1998. During its existence, the orchestra has developed a strong tradition and reputation and also has become a popular and desired ensemble abroad. The orchestra regularly records for the Czech Radio and also for other labels, it is a member ASOPS - Association of Symphony Orchestras and Choirs of the Czech Republic. The chief conductor since September 2013 became Tomáš Brauner.
