is part of the traveling project of the global initiative Japan House, previously showcased in Los Angeles and London.

With a broad range of genres in Japan's publishing industry, manga are typically serialized, with stories unfolding across chapters that are published in subsequent editions. If successful, they are often reissued as special editions and translated into other languages for publication worldwide, leading to global recognition for their mangaka (manga artists), as is the case with Naoki Urasawa.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the exhibition is the immersive experience in Naoki Urasawa's art, exploring various themes such as mystery, science fiction, and sports.

Rather than just displaying snippets of the original work, the exhibition showcases entire chapters, allowing visitors to fully experience the art that combines visuals and storytelling. Among the artist’s works are PLUTO, 20th CENTURY BOYS, and MONSTER (which have already been translated and published in the Brazilian market), as well as BILLY BAT, MASTER KEATON ReMASTER, MUJIRUSHI and YAWARA!.

Regarding this exhibition, Natasha Barzaghi Geenen, Cultural Director of Japan House São Paulo, states:

"Manga is a language immediately associated with Japanese pop culture and has a captive audience that delves into the history of this art, follows their favorite manga artists, and is eager for new releases. This exhibition confirms our mission to bring the Brazilian audience closer to different areas of the Japanese culture."

Reading these stories allows us to understand how the creators of this genre develop their work and learn more about the concept behind this art form.
