Bruno di Belmonte Palace
The building was one of the most important palace of the city and the main expression of the liberty style in the Ragusa area. It was planned by Enesto Basile in 1905.

The façade
The palace is considered one of the moments of adhesion of Ernesto Basile to the art nouveau adapting the liberty theme with its delicate floral decorations to themes already developed previously. Basile, in fact, had designed the expansion of Montecitorio Palace, in Rome.

L'interno
The main staircase of the building is accompanied by a wrought iron railing with spiral, floral and leafy motifs. The work was made by the Donzella blacksmiths, masters of local craftsmanship, who also made the wrought iron chandeliers.

Rooms on the ground floor
The rooms are accessed through a wrought iron door with the heraldic coat of arms of the Bruno di Belmonte: the first room, with an octagonal coffered roof, gives access to a room once used as a chapel.

The second room has as a crowning a monochromatic frieze with allegorical figures.

The garden
The garden can be reached from the courtyard. It preserves typical plants of the Mediterranean scrub and citrus fruits, expression of the territory.
