We Eat Color

All colors have a taste and almost magical association in our taste memory. Art also contains a symphony of flavors, and it is precisely through its colors that it becomes edible.

Presentation

We Eat Color is an unforgettable event, organized in collaboration with the internationally renowned Chef Martha Ortiz, the Friends of the Museum of Contemporary Art Querétaro and the Museum of Contemporary Art Querétaro MACQ. Seeking a synesthesia of the senses, this event offers a fusion of gastronomy, art, music, performance, and philanthropy, to create an exceptional experience.

From six colors, Martha Ortiz creates surprising dishes that converse with music from the State of Querétaro Philharmonic and with the plastic work of 5 important local artists: Ramsés de la Cruz, Azucena Germán, Marja Godoy, Salvador Herrera and Miguel Loyola.

"We Eat Color: México que a todo sabes" by Martha Ortiz

We Eat Color is a project of communion, synergy and synesthesia. Notable and talented artists reveal their association with dishes in the perfect loving act of color, and together evoke what they have in common: Seduction and seduced wisdom, in a virtuous circle of light and shadows, radiance and opacity.

Mexico is a country with a strong gastronomic identity and a long history of flavors and traditions, of tables with dishes that collect stories and narratives, fantasy and eccentricities.

Just think about the complexity of the mole and its deep red color that, like the vital fluid, runs through the veins of the exalted flavors of our country. like the brushstrokes of an artist that contain that perfect color to turn it into a succulent and exhilarating work of art.

We Eat Color  is a visual nod to flavors and colors, art and cooking, brushes and spoons, canvas and surfaces of the plates, to the installation of objects and arrangement of food, to the here and now and the consciousness, to the seduced and the seducers, to the eye and the tongue, to the perfect highpoint, to ecstasy and to pause.

And from this constant flicker of edible and artistic ingredients, we can only say:

Enjoy your meal!
