A registered charity, Tomorrow's Warriors was founded by bassist Gary Crosby OBE and Janine Irons MBE in 1991. Their vision was, and continues to be, to support and nurture young jazz talent and to work towards a jazz scene that is wholly more representative.

Developing the Next Generation
With sessions four days a week at the Southbank Centre in London at the heart of our development programme, more than 10,000 young musicians have benefitted from the free learning and development sessions, workshops and summer schools run by Tomorrow's Warriors.

Our development ensembles form a key part of our Learning Programme and include the Tomorrow's Warriors Junior Band, the Youth Ensemble and Tomorrow's Warriors Frontline, a formidable 8-piece line-up of some of our finest musicians, championing the role of women in jazz.

Over the course of three years the Jazz Café gigs were recorded and the live album was launched in October 2022.
Live performances are at the heart of every musician's development journey. Tomorrow's Warriors supports emerging artists with live gig opportunities, pathways into our professional ensembles (including Jazz Jamaica and Nu Civilisation Orchestra), and unique collaboration opportunities with some of our alumni.
