A Virtual Celebration of Germany’s Unification

A 3D photo shoot of Brandenburg Gate

In preparation for Germany’s 25th anniversary of unification, CyArk partnered with the University of Stuttgart’s Institution of Photogrammetry and with Iron Mountain to document every last detail of the iconic Berlin Brandenburg Gate and the Pariser Platz.

The digital archive lets visitors explore the iconic gate like never before. The scans and images are done with advanced technology enhancing every little detail of the gate, like the horse and chariot bronze sculptures at the very top, something you can’t explore in person.

The images give a snapshot in time of the Brandenburg Gate and can be used to help restore it in the future.

This is a 360-degree panoramic image of the Brandenburg Gate and the nearby Pariser Platz square.

The anniversary project was a success with over 50 GB of data and images collected from laser scans and photogrammetry measurements of the Brandenburg Gate. Happy Anniversary Germany!
