See where people have ended up after winning their first Olivier Award

Jonathan Bailey

Judi Dench and Ian McKellen

An Olivier Award can be the start of a mammoth  career! Both Judi Dench and Ian McKellen won their first award in 1977 - Judi for Macbeth and Ian for Pillars Of The Community. Watch as Ian was awarded the Olivier Special Award for his achievements in theatre in 2020.

The Matildas!

All 4 leads in Matilda The Musical won Best Actress In A Musical in 2012! Since then, you might have spotted Kerry Ingram in Game Of Thrones as Shireen Baratheon or Eleanor Worthington Cox in her BAFTA-nominated role in The Enfield Haunting. Check out their ten year reunion next.

Noma Dumezweni

Noma went from winning her first Olivier in 2006 for her role in A Raisin In The Sun to being our very own voiceover star in 2022 (taking over from Zoe Wanamaker, who made her own Olivier Award win back in 1979!). You can see her presenting an award over her own voiceover here!
