The Human Safety Net
A place of architectural grace, The Home of The Human Safety Net was open to the public in 2022 for the very first time in 500 years after a masterful restoration by Sir David Chipperfield, recently awarded with the Pritzker Prize.
The Human Safety Net is a movement of people helping people, developed to unlock the potential of people living in vulnerable circumstances. Our programs support vulnerable families with young children (0-6 years) and integrate refugees through work and entrepreneurship.

We believe that art can be a powerful lens to bring our attention to social issues. In The Art Studio artists display works interpreting the themes surrounding The Human Safety Net's work and the strengths represented in the permanent exhibition "A World of Potential".
An amazing kaleidoscope of light and colour. Since last April “The Hungriest Eye. The Blossoming of Potential" by Arthur Duff, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, transforms our unique combination of strengths into a surprising artistic representation.
Do you know that Creativity is always connected to our emotion? You can experience that at “A World of Potential” by using your hands to draw a shape that reflects your mood. Are you ready to try?

What are you grateful for today? It may be a small thing but it can change your day. Thanks to Gratitude, you can express your own ‘thank you’ for what makes you happy and add it to a tree of coloured ribbons along with the thoughts of gratitude of other visitors.
