Striking a balance between technical innovation and conceptual expression, Alex playfully subverts and manipulates traditional menswear tailoring and sportswear, proposing a sleek new identity for men with an emphasis on everyday elegance with a twist.
‘The Boredroom’ is a satirical, dystopian exploration of concepts surrounding ‘Britishness’ and ‘masculine’ identities - encouraging men to express playfulness and absurdity in times of fear and uncertainty.
With a playful design language that includes pattern cutting around objects, the corporate ‘9-5’ suit is dissected to reveal unexpected details within the garments and propose a new expressive and inclusive vision of masculine identity.

"I released a collection in 2021 while working and living at home during lockdowns. I started up a website where I sold some of those pieces online. During 2021 my work featured on the cover of 032c for the main fashion story, styled by Ana Steiner and shot by Danko Steiner."
"Recently I found an affordable studio space that I can work from in Hoxton, a dedicated space for designing and making that I can commute to and from. I work part time at the Tate to support myself financially while prioritising the development of my label."
