'Elevated by Art', Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team

A Taekwondo demonstration is that well trained Taekwondo experts show advanced techniques and skills. Since its foundation in 1974, the team has visited over 120 countries so far in order to introduce and promote Teakwondo and Korean culture. The team performs traditional demonstrations, consisted of Taekwondo basic movements and presents variety of works that has a story development.

The performance dynamically expresses the beauty of Taekwondo and Korean traditional music through Arirang (Korean Traditional Music).

This is a more evolved performance within a story development with much more advanced techniques of Taekwondo. The appropriate blend of fun and fast-moving of the performing arts in authentic Taekwondo is a highlight of the performance. Also, it expresses the beauty of the Taekwondo and Korean classical music dynamically through Arirang.

This Taekwondo demonstration as nonverbal performances entitled ‘Great Taekwondo – Taekwondo, Enlightening the World’ with Taekwondo spirit and techniques, is a spectacular and dynamic work unfolded in the Taekwondo world with a conflict of interests. This work expresses the unification of the world together with Kukkiwon Taekwondo as the brilliant and splendid movements of Taekwondo rooted in the original Taekwondo are applied into the performance.
