The Nancy Olson Children’s Garden is located inside the East Loop of
the Arboretum. Just cross over the bridge at the koi pond—you’re there!
Named in honor of a devoted Klehm member, the garden is designed to
encourage children to explore the many wonders of nature. Children love
navigating the hedge maze to find the surprise waiting for them at
journey’s end. The rainbow and alphabet gardens are colorful delights
and no one leaves the children's garden without stopping to visit with
the garden’s bovine mascot Cow-Li-Flower. T. A pavilion offers covered shelter for activities, dining and watching
children as they enjoy playing in the garden.

The Alphabet Garden aids children in learning their ABC's while introducing them to a wide variety of flowering garden plants.
"F" is for frog and Floss Flower and perhaps Fuchsia, Flipendula and Foam Flower in the future.
Kids love climbing to the top of the three story Lookout Tower standing guard over our Hedge Maze. They watch as their friends navigate the path leading to the "surprise" in the middle of the maze.

The entrance to the Children's Garden leads you to an enchanting bridge over a water lily filled pond. This is a popular spot for kids to catch a glimpse of our graceful koi or perhaps a friendly frog.
Cow-li-Flower is the Children's Garden mascot at Klehm. This life-size gal was painted by local school children and happily sits amongst the flowers.
The Arborvitae Hedge Maze delights kids of all ages as they twist and turn to maneuver their way through.
Red Begonias, orange and yellow Marigolds and two shades of blue Salvia form the Rainbow Garden; a popular spot for photos.
