This call was spread across the Regeneration newspaper and shared between militants, so their proposals could be submitted and taken into consideration for publication.

The program is an interesting mix of political and social demands and is made up of 52 statements, which are divided into nine sections that detail the basic concepts that make up a democratic government.

The preface is extensively detailed and serves as a manifesto for a nation that aspired to recover its XIX century ideals, which had defined the modern Mexican State through the 1857 Constitution.

The document stated the need to topple the government of Porfirio Diaz, suppress re-election, as well as eliminate all restrictions on freedom of press and end the privilege of the clergy. It advocated for a more secular and compulsory education, as well as granting basic benefits for the growing working class.

Some of its points were precursors to the ideals of the Mexican Revolution, as it established that the party would fight against the oppression that ruled over the country. Years later, these same views would be integrated in the 1917 constitution.

The Archivo General de la Nación protects one of the 250 thousand copies that the Regeneration newspaper published. This copy stands out since it has anonymous annotations made in English that criticize the government of the General Porfirio Diaz, and evoke the importance of freedom and independence for the Mexican people.
