1. Tajuña Greenway

Until 1953, a narrow-gauge train was operated along the Tajuña Valley, starting out from Retiro Park in the centre of Madrid. It was called the “Tren de Arganda, que pita más que anda” (“Arganda Train, which whistles more than it runs”) and hauled beetroot and other produce from that fertile area. It was supposed to continue as far as Aragon but never got any further than Alocén, Guadalajara.

Experience virtual reality and “fly” along this route. Thousands of spherical photographs and several points of interest make up this 360º grand virtual tour along the Tajuña Greenway. Don’t miss it!

Take a 360º tour of Arganda’s small Railway Museum and travel in one of its historic trains. 6 km of restored tracks along the old Madrid-Alocén railway. The Madrid Region’s only functioning historic railway. Let’s go for a train ride!

An interesting stop where you can enjoy a 360º view of the old Ambite Train Station. It now houses a cafeteria, swimming pool, and, alongside the passenger building, the Vega del Tajuña Nature Centre, where you may rent bicycles. You’ll see them if you continue touring in Street View.
