This year I will be spending Pride by trying to do all that I can to stand up for the rights of trans people. I will begin by writing to my MP to express my concern around the government’s handling of the consultation for reform of the Gender Recognition Act (GRA) and the proposed changes. For the past ten years Tiu's practice has developed from personal reflections on identity and queerness to documenting the LGBT+ scene in Scotland at large.
Tiu said: "It's rare for queer visibility to be presented on such a scale, let alone work created from within the community itself. I've never been in the company of so many other LGBT+ photographers, and from day 1 I had trust that this project was going to be something extraordinary.”
