Inside the fascinating setting of the fourteenth-century Marostica castle, opposite the Piazza degli Scacchi, on the first floor there is a frescoed room in which to admire the works of the artist Mario Mirko Vucetich. The same author of the famous "Chess Game with living characters" that today, from the fifties, every two years, is staged in the central square of Marostica with a roaring scenography that involves public from all over the world.

Vucetich Museum is synonymous with beauty, charm and history. The artist Mario Mirko Vucetich, in addition to ferrying the name of Marostica all over the world, creating a direction of an immortal show, taking care of every detail with passion and dedication (be it the button of a dress, the screw of a turret or the arrangement of a music), he managed to give an identity to the place by frescoing the halls of the castle, modeling terracotta portraits and designing buildings.In the castle it is possible to enjoy, in addition to the sculptures - the most famous Christ in terracotta -, the original drawings and clothes of the time of the first edition of the Chess Game, together with sketches watercolored on paper and manuscripts.

A journey back in time where to rediscover in an ancient site, steeped in history and legends, the beauty of the sculptures, drawings, frescoes and fabrics of the past of what is a great folkloric event recognized with the title of "National Excellence" and awarded "Heritage of Italy for tradition" by the former Minister of Tourism, Michela Vittoria Brambilla.

The national association Italy Liberty which enhances and promotes the Vucetich Museum - together with the museums of the Disco d'Epoca, and Arte Povera in Sogliano al Rubicone, in addition to the first Museum of Liberty established in the beautiful country in Sarnico -, intends to accompany the visitor with the monograph “Mario Mirko Vucetich (1898-1975). Architecture, sculpture, painting, drawing ” written by Andrea Speziali for the Types of Silvana editorial.
