The Hound of the                     baskervilles

By Sir Arthur Conan DoyleDocent : Jake Ver Beek

Epigraph: "To a great mind, nothing is little." - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle I chose this quote because Sherlock uses every detail to help him solve his cases.
Universal Theme: I chose this picture because it captures my books theme. The clouds give off an ominous and mysterious look and the dull landscape feels erie.
A Day In The Life : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ABTeNbzrXYyaF5-PtEOH6zQFKyiUo6kYTzhvVbP-5Fo/edit
Text to Text: A connection I had with this book is Scooby Doo. They both try to prove that the supernatural has a natural explanation and solve crimes. The only difference is that one is for little children and the other is for mature readers.
Tone: Some tone words that could describe this book would be mysterious, ominous, scary, eventful, and interesting
Historical Setting: This story takes place in the late 1800's or early 1900's at a place called Dartmoor. It is a dark, erie place with many untold secrets.
