I picked these works because I like the thought of public expression. Public art is such a beautiful way to tell others what and how you feel. Artists have no boundaries when it comes to graffiti. Various types of paint can be used for different looks and effects. There are so many different techniques to achieve different effects with the paint. Bansky was a more simplistic graffiti artist. Jaz is a more complex and detailed graffiti artist. Both artists can be interpreted differently, by different people. All works are works made in some-what public places, and they all carry different meaning. I picked each work based on how I first reacted when viewing each piece. If I felt like the piece was semi controversial, or moving, I used that piece. If i did not understand the meaning of the piece, I took a longer look to decide what it was trying to say. I like the thought of a simple styled graffiti followed by a more detailed graffiti. I chose four works from Bansky, and four works from Jaz.
