God's creation is beautiful and beyond recreation; however, many artists have tried to in their paintings and have created some pretty remarkable works. During the Impressional and Post-Impressional time quickly painted dots, dashes and comas have been used in two different ways. First it started as more of a fast pace style symbolizing the fast pace life, and showing how light and its reflection affects a painting. This was due to the rejection of state-controlled academics and salons in favor of independent exhibits (Oxford Art Online). Eventually it turned into more symbolic contents. The vibrant colors from impressionism intensified even more and the dots became even smaller (About.com Art History).
