I think that the art we choose reflects who we are, our deepest thoughts and experiences. Our likes and dislikes, joys and sorrows. Our past, our history and so many pieces to the puzzle that defines each of our. These are some pieces of me.
I love black history and have read the works of Frederick Douglas. As an assistant to the President of the US, many don't know that he was very instrumental in the freeing of the slaves.
This is just awesome.
I love this young picture of Frederick Douglass.
Her piece , "Ain't I A Woman," I have never forgotten the words to as well as the meaning behind them.
