Ancient egyptian functional vessels

These pieces interested me because of the extremely specific details on each piece, all of these pieces look like they took a long time to make, not only are they functional, but they are also beautiful works of art. I loved the form of all these pieces because they all have bright, vibrant colors as well as a theme of circles and roundness to the shapes and designs of all of these pieces. I enjoyed the content of these pieces because they were from the time of the ancient Egyptians who made amazing artwork that could be used as so many different things to help them survive. I got this theme from a piece that I chose in class called Hippopotamus, named William, made in Meir, Egypt in the early middle ages during the early dynasty. This piece is kept at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
