Graffiti was born in the late 1960s and is still around today. At first it was all about people tagging their names on subways and who could get the most tags. Then it transitioned to outdoing other peoples's tags and it introduced the creativity behind the graffiti. It eventually allowed young kids to express themselves in a society that told them that they didn't have the talent or drive.
