Objects put together to create interesting texture.

Lunar Landscape, Louise Nevelson, 1959, From the collection of: Galleria Civica di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea Torino
Louise Nevelson used a series of objects in this piece. Even though you can pick out individual items, the texture created by combining them in both space and color makes the piece interesting. The single pieces put together create great texture. The all black finish makes the texture more relevant. We are almost forced to view the figure as one.

Pine Trees 7, Lee, Gil Rae, 2007, From the collection of: Korean Art Museum Association
The tree figures in this piece put together create great texture. The holes are great too, but for the purpose of the theme the trees as a whole also create the texture. The individual units are welded together to do this. I find if you use the contrast of the piece with the background its easier to see the texture as a whole apposed to the texture on the trees.

This piece contains a died burlap bundled to create magnificent texture. This coincides with my theme perfectly because these pieces of burlap already have texture themselves, but that are used to create a bigger picture. The texture created is different than what the burlap typically presents.
