A piece by Van Gogh that really captures my attention because of the darkness; also thechapel or house in the back seems a place of solitude, but is it really?
I like the look of a storm coming or the night taking over the last of the daylight. The only light to be guided by is the lighthouse.
This piece by Karl Brullov first grabbed my attention because of the tragedy in the peoples eyes. I couldn't really tell what the peril was coming from until I looked closer and really focused.
This piece has really good depth and still maintains it's detail level.
