I have selected these particular images because they all fall into the category of still life images. In module 2, the term "still life" refers to images that have a collection of objects as their central focus. In these types of images, we learned that artists tend to pay great attention to detail (the crease in the papers, shadows on the objects, and the irregularity of the fruits rather than them being perfectly symmetrical in order to make them look more real). All of these objects are not real however, as the artist uses pigment, shadow and light in order to make us believe that these are real objects. The title of the artwork should not be ignored as it plays an important role in the meaning-making process.
