What the Great Depression was like

The dust bowl during the great depression created severe drought issues and ruined agriculture because of the dust storm.
The New Deal was a series of domestic programs enacted in the US between 1933 and 1938, and a few that came later. They included both laws passed by Congress as well as presidental executive orders during the first term of FDR.

Hoboes are people who were affected by the Great Depression the most. They had to find a place to live and even then it might have not been oermanite. They did not have jobs and so they couldnt buy what they needed to live. They would have to ask for money and get food from soup kitchens.
The Hoover Dam was constructed between 1931 and 1936, during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935 by Franklin D. Roosevelt. Its construction was the result of a massive effort involving thousands of workers, and cost over one hundred lives. The dam was contrversilly named after President Herbet Hoover.
The bonus army was a army of military vets. The people in it were looking doe jobs to work. They also demanded cash payments.

Civilian Conservation Corps was a group that provided relief for unemployment, unmarried, men. It was to find jobs for those people but at the same time implementing a natural resource conservation programs.
Agricultural adjustment act was a federal law of the new deal. Farmers were payed not to plant on a certain part of land to kill livestock. This was to raise the value of crops.
Was the largest new deal agency. This employed millions of unemployed people. These jobs were manuel labor like contruction. During this time every community had a new road or park. Full employed ment reached in 1942.
Men looking for jobs sat along the side of the road. Many people in the farming industry lost their jobs and was looking for work. If you needed a hard worker to get something done you often could fine someone pretty easily.. unlike today
