Art 115-350 Thofson

So I chose a bunch of pieces that gave me a lot of personality. Something about their body language and expression tells a story of what's going on, and I've always loved a piece of artwork that could accomplish that.                                                                                      So the first piece, of what looks to be done in oil paints, is of a young man blowing bubbles, which in itself is innocent in comparison to other Renaissance pieces and very rare for its time. Accompanied with what the subject is the gentle colors which were chosen in the painting, with it's calm blues and subtle greens, how softly the colors blend with one another. I also love how it seems like the person is in the middle of the painting, and yet happens to be slightly off to the left. Then you have the tree branches which frame the image nicely with the window sill.
