I selected this painting because I really like all the contrast, detail and liveliness that Pieter put into it. I wonder, what inspired Pieter to paint this painting about everybody around the world coming together to build a tower to the heavens? I think that Pieter is trying to say that if we all come together, we can achieve something great!
I like this painting because I think that the darkness portrayed in this painting makes it really ominous and strong. Why didn't Frederik use brighter colors? I think that the artist is trying to say that every beautiful thing has a dark side.
I chose this painting because I like the scenery and this painting reminds me of Meteora, Greece, which is also i highly elevated place in Greece. Why did the artist choose to paint a death ceremony/ritual? I think that Edward Lear is trying to say that even the most majestic places have bad tragedies.
I selected this painting because it had a soft look to it which isn't very common in many paintings. I wonder why Auguste Renoir chose to use alot of gold in his painting. I think that he was trying to say that even women can do things that are appreciated in life.
I selected this painting because it has alot of edge and texture put into it. I wonder why Eugene chose to paint this mountain and lake. I think he's is trying to say that even though 2 things are separated, they can be reunited easily.
I like this painting because it shows a complicated scene of a huge picnic. How did the artist know how to make the right colors for this painting? I think he's trying to say the human eye can get a better point of view from afar.
I like this painting because it shows how light can be manipulated by darkness and its surroundings. I wonder why Edward chose this specific angle of this restaurant. I think that the artist is trying to say that light is easily manipulated by glass, reflection, and texture.
I like this painting because it looks stunningly majestic. I wonder how Joseph got his inspiration for this painting. I think he's representing that everything around us is magical.
I chose this painting because it has a touch of softness, color, and stillness which gives a happy and warm feeling. I wonder where Albert got the idea to create this painting. I think that he is trying to portray lightness and darkness in one painting.
I chose this oil painting because I absolutely love the detail in it. I wonder how Hans Holbein did the skull considering that it's at a weird angle and looks photoshopped. I think that this is a painting representing that a small thing in life can bring to enemies/ people together.
