Katie Burney SBU Paintings

This is a collection of paintings that had reminded me of other things that I enjoyed. That is what i try to do when looking at paintings, I try to connect it to other things so I can create my own back story even if it already has one.

There was no description of what this painting was. This reminded me of the scene in Frozen when the parents are getting in a ship wreck. It is crazy how things from over 100 years ago are similar.
This painting was done with water colors and that is astonishing. The details with the hair on this hare are so precise.
Like I mentioned in my photographs gallery, I really enjoy pictures of cities whether they're paintings or photos. This painting served as a visual record of the reconstruction of the city.
Again with my Hamilton obsession. After the musical I became so infatuated with Alexander Hamilton and there is so much more to him than people see and I see all of that when i look at this painting.
In the detail section of this painting it says that the artist is "probably" James Wattles. I wonder why they are not sure of who painted this painting..
