Gods and goddesses of Greek mythology

This a bust of the messenger god, Hermes. It was believed to be created in the 1st century BCE. Due to it's age the artist is unidentified. During this time, Greek artisans focused much of their art on the supernatural.
This is a statue depicting Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. It also has no definite artist due to it being from 115-100 BC. According to Greek mythology, Artemis is known as the maiden goddess because she vowed to never marry.
