Soviet Propaganda during  Stalin

A visual history of the types of imagery used during the years of Stalin's reign in the USSR with pieces dated between 1930 and 1951. This period coincided with two major events in Soviet history, namely the great terror, in which thousands of men and women were arrested on suspicion of being class enemies and widespread paranoia was the feeling of the day. World War 2 also took place during this time period, at which  time rhetoric against Nazi Germany was at an all time high. The final image is of a romanticized image of Josef Stalin himself, being portrayed as a kindly man when he was anything but.
