The Austrian Experience During WW1

By Ashley Jamison

I found this interesting, because how the designers of this add portrayed the life in a hospital. Everyone seems happy and fairy healthy. This view creates a positive and encouraging image. This makes the times easier and more happy for the people.
I found this interesting, because of the message that the picture represents. There was just a war and many things were lost for some places around the world. The shaking of hands between these two men displays bonds and alliances being forming. This leads to comfort for the people.
I found this interesting, because even though the times are hard for the men at war, it is also hard for the people at home. This picture represents the hardships of the time and also how they can be fixed and helped.
I found this interesting, because of the motivation and imagery that this picture proposes. The poster says "Good and blood is our emperor", meaning that the men work hard to fight every day. The color and design of the poster is also appealing.
I found this interesting, because of the layout of the text and how it was eye catching. The people originally thought that daylight savings was to save artificial light. The people were accepting of the change and took action.
I found this interesting, because of the style of drawing. The picture represents war and battle but is somewhat cartoon like. This take on the topic makes it a little easier to understand for younger kids back home.
I found this interesting, because of how relaxed the men were. The trench warfare became normal and very common for them. When they are not working and fighting they have time to chill. I do not think that I would not be able to stay so calm.
