Biblical Expressions

I chose to go with a biblical/god and high renaissance art theme. My art gallery is comprised of some of the world's most famous paintings between 1400 and 1680. My art gallery also displays milestones in Christianity as well as in the artwork and detail itself.

This painting was painted by famous artist Hans Holbein the Younger Gemäldegalerie. The painting is of The Merchant Georg Gisze. The style of the painting is the Pastel art/ high renaissance
This painting is on canvas and was painted by Sandro Botticelli. This image deplicts the birth of venus who is a greek goddess. The texture and colors are smooth and bright. This painting is similar in style to other painting during its time which is why I choose it.
I chose this image because of the date and time period of which is was painted. This image is a painting of the Tower of Babe, whil. The Tower is mentioned in the book of genesis in the Holy Bible during a time where every one spoke one language.
This painting is of Charles Louis and was painted by Sir Anthony Van Dick. In the painting Charles Louis appears to be geared for combat wearing black armor. The painting appears to be a portrait of him. I chose this painting because of the high quality and extreme use of detail.
This photo is a hand drawing of Delilah betraying Sampson. The story of Samson and Delilah is a true story of love and betrayal and is located in the book of Judges. I chose this photo because of the detail within the drawing and it follows my biblical/god theme.
This is a painting of The Crowing of the Thorns and I find it very powerful and the painting itself shows the how humble Jesus Christ was him self. This painting relates to to my Theme Based on the biblical sense and style of painting.
I chose this painting of the Venus and Adonis because I like the style of painting and the image displayed in the painting is love, beauty, and trinity.
This is probably the most famous image within my gallery. The original Creation of Adam was painting was painted on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo. I chose this particular drawing because the original painting is one of my favorite works of art and it fits my bibical/god and high renaissance art
This is a photo of the baptism of Christ. The painting shows Christ as he is coming out of the lake he was baptized as he approaches the priest who performed his baptism. This painting is perfect for my gallery as it shows a milestone in Christianity.
I chose this drawing because it is one of the most famous stories in the Bible. The bigger they are the harder they fall. The drawing is shows David standing over Goliath's body with a large sword a swing away from moving his head. This drawing is a drawing of the high renaissance art era and fits my biblical theme.
