Renaissance Perspective

The works in this Gallery are by a variety of artists over a long period of time. They all have something or another to do with single point perspective. The vanishing point is in the dead center of the horizon that is in the center of the page. Yet they are all different in their own way.                                                                    Single point perspective is important to art in the Renaissance period. This is when dimension was added to art. Before then, nothing was three dimensional, nothing had depth. This is when people looked to the ancient Greeks and Romans and they discovered dimension. This was then put to their own artwork and perspective was born in art.
