An Imperfect Nature

Art gallery dedicated to the common negative characteristics of human nature, and our reactions to events that are caused by our imperfections.

The truth behind human nature is that we are not perfect and often make mistakes. Since the beginning of time, humans have made errors, which they either regret immediately or later on in their lives. This artwork was created by humans, who have realized that they are incapable of being perfect human beings.
All humans can easily become greedy, where they have a strong desire for something, such as wealth. This causes them to ignore the needs of others and become very prideful, like the wolves that are not considering the needs of other animals in their environment.
Humans are often very foolish with the decisions that they make, such as the fool in this piece of artwork. They do not consider the outcomes that will affect those around them and across the entire world. They do not realize the effect their choice could have throughout history.
Many humans are very prideful and do not think of any other human beings besides themselves. They focus on their desires, instead of the needs that another may have. This piece of artwork was created to show the audience how one's pride can change their life.
Human nature can be very defiant and challenging. For example, if one human being is disruptive then it makes the job of their authorities harder since they are very difficult to handle. This artwork shows a "defiant" garden which could imply that a single plant in the garden is causing problems for the others, causing them to all die.
Human nature is very clever, which has been displayed by our use of our resources in order to create new techniques and innovations. However, human beings occasionally use their cleverness for negative reasons, which only results in more frustration and problems, like the student in the artwork is causing.
Human nature is very complex. There are intricate details that make everyone different from each other, which means that a replica of them does nonsexist. For example, twins have differences between them even if they are not apparent. This piece of artwork displays the complex details which make up this one picture.
Human nature can be very simplistic with their lives. Many live simple lifestyles and strive to stay alive with their few resources. Many must face everyday dangers, caused by pride, greediness, and jealousy, in order to stay alive.Fore example, this artwork is simplistic, but required hard work and materials in order to be completed.
Human nature is often overcome with jealousy, which has been seen throughout history. For example, kings being jealous of others, causing battle, and leaders becoming dictators because of their desire for power. This artwork displays how the "monster" is unafraid, but is so hungry for power, that he will do whatever he can to reach it (even kill).
Human nature often tends to feel lonely and needs the comfort and presence of another. Marriage provides them with a partner that will be there for them through the hardest of times. We often feel lonely because we have reached a difficult position in our life and need a shoulder to cry on, or a hand to help us back up onto our feet.
Human nature has the tendency to be sneaky. We have desires to get whatever we want and will occasionally do whatever is necessary to receive it. This artwork shows an Indian chief spying on the enemy, which we can tend to do. Some commonly sneak the truth from our authorities and the law.
Humans can be animals when they strive for things that are unnecessary, such as power and dominance over everyone else. Often times, humans desire things that they do not need, even though they feel like they must have it for survival. This artwork shows an animal taking the place of what a human normally does, showing how animals' and humans' can be related at times.
Sometimes humans can be ignorant, where they lack training and knowledge. In this artwork, the teacher is helping the ignorant to learn new concepts that are foreign to them. This relates to human nature because we strive to gain as much knowledge as we can, no matter the subject.
At times, human nature acts juvenile, or very young. Sometimes, we do not display our maturity, but fall back into our habits which we had as an innocent child. However, juveniles can still display the negative characteristics of human nature, such as in this piece of artwork.
Finally, human nature has a tendency to be quite lazy and ignore or postpone their responsibilities. Sometimes, we do not put the required amount of effort into a project or task, which can result in negative outcomes for the future.
