This picture we believe shows segregation because the sign clearly says white area only. During the years everything was segregated due to white powers over the Africans.
This shows the violence that happened in the riots during apartheid. The Soweto riots were because the 'Afrikaans' wanted education rather then the English. This caused an uprising in the Africans.
The peace march on Cape town happened on September 13, 1989 30,000 Capetonians from diverse backgrounds marched in support of peace and the end of Apartheid.
The inauguration of President Nelson Mandela was the final stand against apartheid. It marked the victory of the 42 year fight.
