Vincent van Gogh is a worldwide known artist and is very famous for his different paintings. He was a post-Impressionist painter. At first his paintings didn't have a lot of color, but when he moved to France he discovered this new beautiful life and rich lands. From there on he put a lot of vivid colors in hi drawings as the ones i selected.

Van Gogh's self-portraits were an important part of his oeuvre as a painter. The colors are clear and bright, this hat is characteristic of what the people wear in the southern part of France.
When Van Gogh lived in Arles, he took a trip to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer where he made several paintings of the seascape and town. The colors of the sea and sky are enlightened with joy.
