1. I chose this piece because of its unique border of bronze. Michelangelo chose to frame this piece in a circle border, making it stand out from other art. 2. This piece is Renaissance for several reasons. It first shows shadows and light distribution. Secondly, the distance over the mountain is shown in perfect perspective.
1. I chose this piece because it looks like the subject is yelling, which made me think of all the people who always yell. 2. This piece is Renaissance because it shows extreme detail in the face of the subject. Da Vinci, like many other artists of the time, used detail of emotion to prove his point.

First, the open door shows perspective, by appearing to be behind the subject. Secondly, much detail is shown in the subjects confident face.
