Religious pieces of the Byzantine Era.

This holy cross of the byzantine empire shows a strong impact of faith and the holy divine right. With this piece being of metal, it shows that not only was this piece important, but also a hope of everlasting worship.
This piece shows Mary whos eyes seem to follow you and a child who must be christ due to the halo around his head with a unknown man in the back, most likely a priest or someone apparent to the bible. This piece may have been portrayed from an outside society other than Byzantine.
The piece depicts Christ in a Byzantine portrayal since as all women/men who are considered divine are encircled with a symbol around their head signifying a certain monarch rule or religious rule.
