Ai Wei Wei

When Ai Wei Wei went to Iraq, he was taught the stories that the refugees who lived to tell told.  He gave them supplies to draw and took some of their art back to the states to show.  He brought them back to make a statement about society.  In this drawing, the refugee camp is flooding and the people are calling out  “Save us from drowning. I am Iraqi.”  I think that this seems like he is trying to show how poor off Iraq is.
