In this work, Franz Marc wanted to try to portray the world with a fresh and pure image and decided to paint the "magical" harmony between the people, nature, and the town themselves in Merano, Italy.
Nighthawks by Edward Hopper is a very well done illustration of a sharply angled street corner of a diner that is very pleasing to the eye in my opinion.
Even though the purpose of this is to emphasize the basics of art, like color and shape, I still believe that this isn't impressive or very original, especially for it to be in a museum.
