This gallery is based upon Director of the British Museum, Neil MacGregor's fascinating podcast of the same name (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00nrtd2). However, I was always very disappointed by the poor photos available on the BBC's website for the podcast. They were mostly postage stamp sized and you couldn't really look at them closely. Now that Google has posted their online collection from The British Museum I can correct that. Note: I've been unable to locate the "Solar Powered Lamp and Charger", "Hockney's In The Dull Village", "Suffragette-defaced penny", "Hebrew Astrolabe", and a handful of others in Google's collection of British Museum items. They have the Sudanese slit drum but the photo is corrupt at the moment so I've put off adding it. The photo of the "Lewis Chessmen" is from an old Life Magazine and not the British Museum. It does appear to be the exact same set though.
